Our Story

The Gunn Law Group didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a simple observation: too many personal injury firms in Georgia treat clients like case numbers.

Harrell Gunn grew up in Atlanta, the son of a doctor. From a young age, he saw what happens when people get hurt: the surgeries, the rehab, the bills that pile up, the insurance companies that fight every claim. He understood medicine before he understood law, and that dual perspective became the foundation of everything The Gunn Law Group represents.

After graduating from Georgia Southern University, Harrell earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. He didn’t open a firm right away. Instead, he trained under experienced personal injury attorneys in Georgia. He learned how insurance companies build their defense. He studied how adjusters evaluate claims. He sat through depositions, mediations and trials, absorbing every tactic the defense uses to minimize what injured people receive.

And then he saw the gap.

The big firms had resources but lacked the personal touch. Clients would sign with a name they saw on a billboard and then never speak to an actual attorney. Their cases were managed by paralegals and case managers, shuffled through a system designed for volume, not results.

The smaller firms had heart but not always the firepower. They’d settle cases early because they couldn’t afford to take them to trial. Insurance companies knew which firms would fold, and they adjusted their offers accordingly.

Harrell founded The Gunn Law Group to bridge that gap: a firm with the resources and legal skill of a major operation, but with the personal attention and genuine care of a small practice. A firm where every client talks to their attorney. Where every case gets the full investigation it deserves. Where the goal isn’t just to settle, it’s to win.

That founding principle hasn’t changed. What has changed is the scale of our impact.

Since our founding, our team has grown to 16 dedicated professionals (attorneys, paralegals, case managers and support staff), all working toward one goal: making sure our clients are fully compensated for their injuries.

We’re not growing because we spend more on advertising. We’re growing because our clients tell their friends and family that The Gunn Law Group delivered for them. That’s the kind of growth you can’t buy. You have to earn it, one case, one client, one result at a time.
